Licancabur Volcano (5.920 m)

The Licancabur volcano is located 60 kilometers east of San Pedro de Atacama. Due to its iconic shape and its enormous height of almost 6,000 meters, it can be easily observed from far away in the Atacama Desert. The ascent to the summit of the volcano is easy, but requires sufficient acclimatization to high altitudes. For this reason you spend the night in Laguna Blanca (Bolivia) at an altitude of 4,350 meters and climb the summit on day two.
