Penguins in the Strait of Magellan
This fascinating boat tour begins at the Muelle Arturo Prat in Punta Arenas. After an approximately 1.5-hour journey through the impressive landscapes of the Magellan Strait, passengers reach Isla Magdalena. This island is home to one of the largest Magellanic penguin colonies in the world, with thousands of penguin pairs that can be observed in their natural habitat.
The modern catamarans offer high comfort and excellent views, making the trip a visual experience.
During the one-hour stop on the island, visitors have the opportunity to get up close to the penguins and enjoy the unique atmosphere of this protected environment. Inside the island, other fascinating bird species such as Dominican gulls, cormorants, Chilean skuas, and additional species that have found their home here can also be discovered.
As an added highlight, with a bit of luck, dolphins may be spotted along the way, making the trip an unforgettable experience.
