Navimag: Through the canals of Patagonia

From Puerto Montt to Puerto Natales

The Navimag ship is not a cruise ship, but a ferry, that is a cargo and passenger ship - some kind of floating hostel. It connects the port city of Puerto Montt with Puerto Natales, the starting point for the world-famous Torres del Paine National Park.

The service is intended for those who are not looking for luxury, but for an authentic journey. For low-speed travellers and backpackers who want to feel the charm of a ship from the 70s, reminiscent of the unforgettable films of Jacques Cousteau, and who want to discover the secluded end of the world without cellphone reception. The breathtaking beauty of the mostly untouched Patagonian fjords of southern Chile is to be admired here.

The ship carries a maximum of 320 passengers and vehicles of all kinds (cars, trucks, campers, motorcycles and bicycles). It has bunk beds in various cabin classes and plenty of space to rest and contemplate.
