Restrictions to enter Chile

As of Wednesday 31 March, all passengers entering the country - Chilean or residents - must undergo a mandatory 10-day quarantine, where the first five days must be spent in an assigned transit hotel, with no possibility of exemption.

During the hotel stay, the traveller must take a PCR test. If the test is negative, the traveller may continue quarantine at his/her private residence from the 6th day onwards. In case of a positive test, the quarantine will continue in a sanitary residence.

It is important to mention that each passenger will have to cover the costs* associated with the transit hotel during the five days, with one exception: if he/she started his/her trip on 27 March or on an earlier date.

* The costs will be provided at the time of applying for the international health passport at or when entering the country.
