New measures to enter Chile
As of Thursday, January 7, Chileans and foreigners residing in Chile must show a negative PCR test (taken up to 72 hours before) to enter the country.
This, in combination with the existing measures that stipulate the suspension of all direct flights between the United Kingdom and Chile, and the prohibition of entry to the country for all non-resident foreigners who have been in the UK in the last 14 days.
In addition, there is an obligation for Chileans and residents who enter Chile and have been in the United Kingdom during the last 14 days to carry out a mandatory 14-day quarantine.
Furthermore, Chileans and foreigners residing in Chile, and foreigners arriving in the country, regardless of their country of origin, must respect a mandatory 10-day quarantine. They can skip the quarantine with a negative PCR result, which can be done from the seventh day of quarantine. While waiting for the result, they must continue in confinement.
