Visiting national parks in Chile

The National Forestry Corporation (CONAF) has launched a new online platform for visits to the State's protected wild areas, called Pases Parques Nacionales.

The initiative's main objective is to improve the experience of visitors to the 61 units of the National System of Protected Wildlife Areas that apply entrance fees, including national parks, national reserves, natural monuments and nature sanctuaries, such as Torres del Paine, Conguillio and Vicente Pérez Rosales National Parks, El Morado National Monument or the Humboldt Penguin National Reserve.

Passes can be purchased through the PasesParques.cl platform and at points of sale distributed by the ticketing company throughout the country. This new model also seeks to promote a cultural change in the way people visit protected areas, encouraging more information, environmental education and planning on the part of users.

The system replaces the previous platform, ASPTicket, and those who have obtained tickets through this platform will have the option of revalidating them through the new pass system.
