No more Sanitary Pass and masks!

As of 1 October, Chile moves to the next stage in the management of the pandemic, lifting several of the health restrictions that have been in place for the past two years. One of them, the 'Pase de Movilidad', required for different situations such as entry to hotels, restaurants, cinemas, among others.

On the other hand, the use of face masks will not be mandatory in closed places, including domestic and international flights, as well as in transit through Chilean airports. As in many countries, the use of face masks is at the discretion of passengers (it will only be required inside health facilities).

In any case, the requirement of a vaccination certificate or negative PCR (maximum 48 hours prior to the flight) is maintained for non-resident tourists arriving in Chile, while for residents, the random testing process at the airport continues.

In addition, the quarantine for confirmed cases of coronavirus is reduced from 7 to 5 days.
