Small farm with German coffeeshop on Chiloé Island

Company Description

The small farm with ecological agriculture and its own cafe is located on the peninsula Rilan on Chiloe Island. The farm can be reached by boat within 10 minutes and by car/bus within approx. 25 minutes and has its own access to the sea. The island's capital, Castro, is just opposite within sight. The farm covers 3 hectar and has an apple orchard, cherry, plum and quinces trees as well as vegetable and herb gardens. They produce liquors, grape juice, marmelades, herbal teas as well as German Sauerkraut and smoke their own meat and ham. The country-style cafe offers home-made dishes such as German breakfast, lunch, coffee and cakes as well as truly German supper. On the same terrain live alpacas, sheeps, pigs, ducks, cats and dogs. Many Chilean visitors find their way to the farm, so two guest rooms are already being planned.

• Help in reparing fences and chopping wood

Remuneration

Free board and lodge on the farm and a nice experience living in the countryside
