The highest peaks in the Atacama desert
Starting the "Ruta de los 6 miles" in Copiapó, you explore an Andean region that is known to be the world's second highest area after the Himalayas, with several summits that exceed 6,000 meters of altitude. The tour leads to the Andes of the Atacama region, visiting the ruins Puquíos, Laguna Santa Rosa and Laguna Verde, Salar de Maricunga, Rio Lama and the Roof of America (El Techo de América). Some special highlights of the trip are the volcanos Nevado Tres Cruces and Ojos del Salado at 6930 mts.
