The Place
Valparaíso and its 280.000 inhabitants, its
colorful houses, steep streets and rampant hills –
accessible by 16 spectacular inclined elevators –
is the liveliest and most charming seaport of Chile.
The World Heritage Site does not only accommodate the
Chilean Parliament, but also one of Pablo Neruda’s
three houses, “La Sebastiana”. From here
you can explore e.g. the nearby seaside resort Viña
del Mar or the national park La Campana – or you
can just hurl yourself into the exciting nightlife of
Valparaíso.
The School
The Language is located very near to the Plaza Sotomayor at the base of the Cerro Concepción,
in the middle of the lively neighborhood of artists and
students in the city.
There are three teachers, all native speakers, in the small language school, which allows the division into three levels.
At the weekend they organize from time to time some trips. You could enjoy for example a tour by boat through the harbour or on fridays they go out together to have a pisco sour.
The Spanish Lessons
The school methodology is based on a fast instruction of all necessary grammatical tenses to be able to communicate in daily life. With their own teaching aids the classes are focused on practice of the already acquired knowledge.
There are three different types of courses available: the
group course with 4 units a day and a group course with private lessons with 6 units a day, that is four group hours in the morning and two private lessons in the afternoon. For beginners with few time there is a crash course with 6 hours daily on 3 successive days.
In general the group classes start at 9 a.m. and end at 12.15 p.m., whereas private classes are given in the afternoon, normally.
Although the courses are designed for whole weeks, you can join a class any day!
