The Place
Puerto Varas is a nice small city in southern Chile, situated at the shores of lake Llanquihue
with the volcanoes Osorno and Calbuco
in the background. With just 33,000 habitants, it was named recently Chile's city with the best life quality. It's a perfect place to explore nature and to do different outdoor sports. There is a wide range of possibilities, e.g. the national parks Vicente Pérez Rosales, the lake Todos Los Santos (starting point of famous Chilean-Argentinian Lake Crossing), and the Petrohué waterfalls. If you want to relax, you can just walk through the streets and admire the arquitecture with a strong German influence - many of the buildings are national monuments.
The School
The lessons will take part in a nice wooden house that also serves as a home for the teachers. The language school is located in the center of Puerto Varas, just a block from the main square and the lake. Both teachers are native speakers with years of experience in teaching Spanish as a foreign language which allows them to adapt easily to the needs of each student. Fun and a good sense of humour are part of the teaching methods. The school provides free Internet access through WiFi, a small library and touristic information of the region.
If you wish to learn Spanish as intensive as possible, you may stay directly at the teachers' home.
The Spanish Lessons
Courses are offered in different categories:
Spanish for travelling,
Spanish for studying or internships
