Sky Airline, Chile’s first low cost airline

Sky, the country’s second airline, is preparing to become the first company to offer air travel at low cost within Chile and its international routes (Buenos Aires, Lima and Sao Paulo). This plan includes several changes that will gradually start on the 4th of September over a time of 12 months. This will lead the company to develop a sustainable and economically viable business model, according to Sky spokesman.

Among the changes are the elimination of meals on board as part of the service and the option of buying one way tickets at lower prices. According to the company, they will offer "tickets at bus prices" and even cheaper if purchased in advanced. For instance, less than 10.000 CLP for short trips and 30.000 CLP for longer trips, plus airport taxes.

These are excellent news for travelers who want to enjoy the wonders that Chile offers!
