We invite you to join this excursion and get to know in detail the city of Santiago and more specifically the area of La Chimba: A district that came into existence in 1641 when the city was founded. Segregated from the "official city", this quarter was known for its parties and noisiness. At the same time, it was a meeting place for mestizos, indigenous and black people and impoverished Spaniards.
The tour is full of chilean idiosyncrasy showing working class culture and the daily life of the Santiaguinos. Immigration, graffiti and several religions in the Patronato area, fruits and vegetables at the central market La Vega and the history of the Plaza de Armas are only some of the themes and experiences of this tour through Santiago.
